Join us for a parish-wide ice cream social in the traffic circle in front of the church. The Cone Ranger will be on site offering up soft serve ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, twist) with sprinkles or Oreos. Free to parishioners but a donation basket will be available.

This fall, we designed a new offering for kids in 4th-7th grades called Bridge Group. Older elementary schoolers and early middle schoolers both have a deep need to belong while also developing critical thinking and autonomy. As these young people begin to integrate their beliefs with lived experience, four lay leaders (Laura Ballock, Leif Carlson, Max Haas, and Karie Neukomm) will facilitate deeper discussion, connection, Bible study, and FUN with up to eighteen kids using an adaptive curriculum called Mini Revolutions for three Sundays in September and November. There will be supervised free play for nursery-3rd grade during this time.

The public is invited to a chamber music recital at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church featuring husband-wife duo Jeremy Samolesky, piano and Alina Windell, flute — two accomplished musicians whose artistry has taken them from concert halls across the U.S. to festival stages in Italy.

A native of Manitoba, Canada, Dr. Samolesky serves as Professor of Piano and Head of Keyboard Studies at Auburn University and holds the distinction of Steinway Artist, with performances that have included a solo recital at the Kennedy Center, broadcast nationally on NPR's Performance Today. Dr. Windell, a Cuban-American flutist celebrated for her vibrant sound and powerful musicality, brings her own remarkable journey to the stage. She holds degrees from Indiana University, Stony Brook University, and the University of Colorado, and has captivated audiences from coast to coast and abroad, including engagements at the Orfeo International Music Festival in Italy.

Together, these two distinguished performers will present a program of chamber music for flute and piano, as well as some works for solo piano. The concert is free and open to the public.

Join the combined choirs of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, St. John's Episcopal Church, and Christ Church Episcopal — all of Savannah, Georgia — for an evening of choral Evensong, hosted this year at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Now in its second consecutive year, this service brings together singers from across Savannah for a shared evening of sacred music and prayer.

Evensong is a service of evening prayer rooted in the Anglican choral tradition, drawing on centuries-old texts and canticles set to music and sung largely by the choir on behalf of the congregation. Rather than a sermon-centered service, Evensong unfolds through scripture, psalmody, and choral anthems, offering a contemplative close to the day. It remains one of the most beloved musical traditions of the Anglican and Episcopal Church, and this gathering celebrates that heritage while strengthening the bonds between Savannah's Episcopal parishes.

All are welcome to attend this service of music and reflection. A reception will follow.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Savannah, Georgia invites you to a candlelit Service of Lessons and Carols, an evening of scripture and Christmas carols that traces the story of humanity's fall and God's promise of redemption through the birth of Christ. By candlelight, choir and congregation alike are drawn into the quiet wonder of the season.

The evening will open with a harp prelude of Christmas carols as worshippers gather. The service alternates nine short scripture readings — "lessons" — with Christmas carols and choral anthems sung by the choir, moving from the story of Creation and the Fall in Genesis through the prophecies of Isaiah to the Nativity in the Gospel of Luke. The format originated at King's College, Cambridge in 1918 and has since become a cherished tradition in churches around the world.

Come welcome the season with music, candlelight, and the words of scripture telling the Christmas story.
